Earlier this fall, Aryze hosted the premiere of Rent Life, a short documentary exploring the realities of renting a home in Victoria. Expanding on the views presented in the film, the screening was followed by a deeply insightful panel discussion between Julian from Studenthaus, Shelly from the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria and Luke from Aryze.
The evening brought together a diverse group of guests including students, immigrant community members, urbanists and industry professionals—which made for an enriching community conversation to close out the event.
About The Film
Through first-hand stories, expert insights and real conversations, Rent Life aims to challenge common stereotypes about renting, and shares an honest portrait of what it means to build a life in Victoria in a home you don’t own.
This is a call to action for industry leaders, policymakers and community builders, and an invitation to reimagine rental housing not as a last resort, but as a vital part of an inclusive, thriving region.
